CAM-296

The cold room door has been open for six minutes

Two in the afternoon. The cold room door is wide open. Inside, a person in a blue gown takes a tray of vials off a shelf. Outside, on the steel table, four trays of product are already waiting. Another person stands beside them with nothing in their hands. IRIS times from the second the door opened and counts how long each tray has been out. It does not measure the temperature of the product: that is what the probe is for.

What IRIS understands

What it recognises in this scene

  • cold room door standing open
  • shelves of refrigerated product
  • trays of vials outside the cold room
  • person taking out a tray
  • cold room display

What this camera measures

An alert says something is happening. The reading says how much.

  • 6 min 10 sdoor has been open for
  • 4trays outside
  • 11 minlongest time a tray has been out
  • 2people in the room
  • 14:05time the door opened

The figures on this screen are an example from the illustration, not any client's measurement.

The rule

You decide once. IRIS applies it always.

If

the cold room door has been open for more than three minutes or trays have been out for more than ten

Then

  1. alert the room with the camera, the opening time and how long it has been
  2. save the video from the moment the door opened until it closes
  3. record how many trays are outside and since which minute
The instruction that set it up«Tell me if the cold room door has been open for more than three minutes, or if trays have been out for more than ten.»

What changes

What changes for whoever answers for the plant

When a batch is deviated for cold chain, the question is always the same: how long was it out. The data logger gives a temperature curve, but it does not say who opened the door, how many trays came out, or whether it stayed open while someone was talking. The camera gives the opening time, the closing time and the image of what was outside. With that, the deviation is investigated the same day, not after a week of reading charts.

What people usually ask

Does IRIS measure the temperature of the product?

No. The temperature of the product is measured by the cold room probe and its data logger. IRIS measures time: how long the door has been open and how long each tray has been out, with the exact time and the image. The two together explain the deviation and neither replaces the other. With a thermal camera it does read the heat visible on the outside.

What if the door opens as part of normal work?

It opens and nothing happens. The rule is written by the plant: how many minutes are normal in that room and at what time of day. IRIS only alerts when that is exceeded. It does not close the door and it does not send anybody anywhere: a person decides that, with the image in front of them.

Can it tell which batch was outside?

It sees the trays and counts them, and delivers the image with the time. Which batch it was comes from the plant system when that time is matched against the order. IRIS provides the exact minute and the video; the batch number comes from the record, not from the camera.

Simulation · how IRIS works

You set the rule once. IRIS applies it every time.

You will see a summary of the interface, played step by step and hands-free. Each round starts with another case. The complete tool does not fit in a demo.

  1. Checks the whole system
  2. Flags what is failing
  3. Puts it on one screen

And the best part

You decide the rule onceand it is applied the same way every time.

At three in the morning it means what it means at noon, on camera one and on camera four thousand. It does not depend on who is on shift, or how tired they are.

Tell us your problem and we will say whether IRIS understands it, or not yet.

We reply the same working day.
