The cleaning is signed off and the floor still has residue
Twenty past six in the morning, between batches. Around the vial conveyor the floor is covered with white residue and splashes. There is residue on the conveyor itself as well. On the table to the left somebody has left a used cleaning cloth with powder on it. Two people in blue gowns and hairnets are checking the line. IRIS sees what is left in plain sight, counts the spots with residue and marks them on the image.

What IRIS understands
What it recognises in this scene
- cleaning cloth left on the table
- residue on the floor beside the line
- splashes on the conveyor
- vial filler between batches
- person checking the line
What this camera measures
An alert says something is happening. The reading says how much.
- 9spots with visible residue
- 1cleaning tools still in sight
- 35 minsince cleaning was closed
- 2people in the room
- 06:20time of the alert
The figures on this screen are an example from the illustration, not any client's measurement.
The rule
You decide once. IRIS applies it always.
If
cleaning is marked as closed and residue or cleaning tools are still in plain sight
Then
- alert the room supervisor with the camera, the time and a photo of the spot
- save the video from the start of cleaning until it was marked as closed
- mark every spot with residue and count them in the room report
The instruction that set it up«Tell me if, once cleaning is closed, anything is still visible on the floor or on the line, or a cloth has been left behind.»
What changes
What changes for whoever answers for the plant
Cleaning is closed with a signature and a checklist. What the checklist does not say is where the residue was left. With the camera, whoever signs the line clearance has a photo of the exact spot, the time and how many spots there are, before the next batch starts. The argument stops being about who cleaned and becomes a dated image. Cleaning validation is still a laboratory job: the camera brings the warning forward, it does not replace the swab.
What people usually ask
Can a camera validate the cleaning of a room?
No. Cleaning validation is done with sampling and laboratory analysis. A camera sees what is left in plain sight: residue on the floor, a splash on the conveyor, a forgotten cloth. IRIS reports that, with the time and the image, before the next batch starts. The swab still belongs to the laboratory.
What exactly does IRIS see on this camera?
It sees visible residue on the floor and on the equipment, and cleaning tools that have not been taken away. It counts them and places them in the frame. It does not analyse what the residue is: it cannot tell product from water and it does not detect chemical traces. That comes from the laboratory, not from the image.
Is it usable as a record in an audit?
Yes, as a time-stamped image record. The video from before and after is kept, with the exact time and the spot marked in the frame. It is attached to the plant cleaning record. It does not replace that record, nor the quality system: it works alongside them and adds the image and the minute.

No extra alarms here. Just what needs looking at.
Not a recorded video, not an explanatory drawing: a summary of the real screen, with a different case every time it starts. There is a lot more behind it.

Camera health
And who watches the cameras?
0 cases, and in every one of them IRIS raises an alert when something happens. You see each image as it is, and then with what it understands on top.
The city
Who watches the cameras of a whole city?
23 cases: 18 raise an alert when something happens and 5 only measure. You see each image as it is, and then with what IRIS understands on top.
And the best part
Ten cameras or four thousand:not one of them goes unwatched.
The day IRIS starts, they all start: the ten in a school or the four thousand in a whole network. And it only raises its hand when the thing you asked for happens.
Tell us your problem and we will say whether IRIS understands it, or not yet.
We reply the same working day.
