What changes
What changes for whoever answers for the plant
A load that does not match dirties the whole pit and has to be dug out by hand later, once it is mixed with everything else. If the alert arrives while the body is still up, it stops there, the haulier is looked up in the entry log and the load is diverted to the right bin. And there is video of the moment, which is what allows a conversation with the haulier without arguing from memory.

Can IRIS tell rubble apart from paper and cardboard?
Yes, by how it looks. Broken brick, concrete and timber look very different from cardboard, and that difference is what triggers the alert. What the camera does not do is read a composition: if there is asbestos cement or a hazardous product inside that rubble, that comes from the label or from an analysis, never from the image alone.
Can the alert be matched with the transport paperwork?
Yes, but the plant is the one that does the matching. IRIS provides the camera, the exact time and the video of that tipping. The manifest and the weighbridge record live in the plant management system, and that is where the two are brought together. IRIS works alongside those systems and gives them the image and the minute; it does not replace them.
Can IRIS stop the tipping?
No. IRIS alerts; stopping is a person's decision. The alert reaches the access control desk with the image of what is coming out, and whoever is at the gate decides whether to raise a hand, divert the truck to the reject bin or let it carry on. And what counts as an alert in the first place is also decided by the plant when it writes the rule.
