What changes for whoever answers for the plant
A leak usually reaches the site manager through a level alarm, or because somebody happened to walk past. With the camera he gets the minute it started, the exact pump and the video of the first jet. He knows whether it has been running two minutes or twenty, and he sees how much ground is wet. That changes two decisions: whether to stop the line, and whether to pull somebody out of there. The system does not take them; it puts them in front of him.

Does IRIS know which product is leaking?
No. A camera sees the jet, the stain and how it grows, and that already arrives long before anybody walks past. Which product it is comes from the line that pump belongs to, and whether there is flammable vapour in the air comes from the gas detector. IRIS supplies the time, the image and the equipment; the process and the sensors supply the rest.
What if the leak is a slow drip instead of a jet?
Yes, if the plant asks for it. A drip is not spotted by the jet: it is spotted because the stain on the floor is bigger than it was ten minutes ago. IRIS compares the same patch of concrete over time and alerts when it grows. On a flange dripping overnight, that difference means it is found at first light instead of two days later.
Does IRIS stop the pump?
No. IRIS alerts, it does not act: it closes no valve, stops no pump and sends nobody anywhere. A person decides that, with the video in front of them and with what the process and the detectors say. Nor does it write the rule: what deserves an alert and what does not is decided by the site.
