The solvent goes in first when it was meant to go in last

What changes
What changes for whoever answers for the plant
A charge made out of order is almost always found out late: when the batch comes out odd, when it smells different, or when somebody reviews the log at the end of the shift. By then the mixer is full and the material is waste. With the alert while the pump is still running, the plant manager gets there in time to stop it and decide. And the video of the coupling stays, with the time on it, so nobody has to rely on memory.
What people usually ask
Does IRIS know what’s inside the drum?
No. IRIS compares what it can see — the shape of the container, the color, where it was taken from and the label — with the charging step that’s due. What’s inside is settled by the analysis and the packing slip. That’s why the alert doesn’t name a product: it says a container that doesn’t match that step has been connected, with the time and the image.
Can the rule be adapted if a formula follows a different order?
Yes. The charging order is written by the plant, not by the camera. If a formula follows a different sequence, the rule for that station is updated and the rest of the plant stays as it was. IRIS doesn’t decide what’s correct: it checks what somebody decided beforehand and raises the alert when what it sees doesn’t match.
Does IRIS stop the pump when it sees the mistake?
No. IRIS raises the alert, saves the video and marks the time; stopping the pump is decided by a person or by the station’s own control. The camera doesn’t command equipment. What it adds is that the alert arrives while the product is still going in, instead of the problem being found with the mixer already full.
